Knee Osteoarthritis TreatmentTreatment of knee arthritis

As a professor at a university hospital, I have specialized in knee arthritis for more than 40 years, and have been involved in research, clinical practice, and education of future generations.

In the treatment of knee arthritis, it is important not to adhere to one treatment method, but to comprehensively evaluate the stage of the disease, age, activity level, and life background to select the most appropriate treatment for the patient.
From conservative therapy, injection therapy, regenerative medicine, and artificial joint surgery, we are able to provide the best treatment plan based on medical evidence.

I would avoid surgery if at all possible."
I want to reduce my pain and continue my life as before."

What is knee arthritis?

Knee arthritis is due to wear and inflammation of the articular cartilage,

  • pain when starting to walk
  • Discomfort when ascending and descending stairs
  • Difficulty sitting upright or walking for long periods of time

Symptoms such as the following occur
As the disease progresses, pain medication, hyaluronic acid injections, and rehabilitation are often not enough to control the symptoms.

What is Stem Cell Therapy?

Stem cell therapy is a treatment that uses stem cells harvested mainly from fat tissue and other sources and administered into the knee joint.
Stem cells have the following functions

  • Reduce inflammation
  • Reduce pain-causing substances
  • Leads the environment in the joints toward restoration
  • Support recovery of cartilage and surrounding tissues

*Stem cells not only "build cartilage" directly, but also serve as a command post for the surrounding tissues.

Treatment Flow

1. Medical examination and image evaluation
Symptoms, X-rays and MRI will be comprehensively evaluated.

2. Fat tissue collection
A small amount is collected from the abdomen or other parts of the body under local anesthesia.

3. Extraction and conditioning of stem cells
Ingredients containing stem cells are adjusted in a dedicated process.
